St. Joseph Shelter operates with limited government funding - less than 20% of its budget comes from public funds.  This essential program survives only with the strong support of caring individuals, churches, businesses and religious communities.

Mission Benedict assists the local community with: Emergency Food Boxes Clothing Household goods Emergency Assistance Furniture/Appliances Mission Benedict distributes an average of 825 emergency food boxes per year.  This equals approximately 57,000 pounds of food given out to community families.

Emergency dollars in the amount of approximately $17,500 a year assists families with utilities, rent, medications, and other critical needs.
